Last February, the<\/span>\u00a0SG CITY 50-50 Gender Equality Award ceremony<\/strong>\u00a0for municipalities was held in the town of\u00a0<\/span>Betanzos<\/a> (Galicia<\/strong>) as part of the\u00a0<\/span>DIGECP project<\/strong>, which is supported by the European Union.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Manuel P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, our Forgender Seal partner in Galicia, presented the award to the\u00a0mayor of the city,<\/em> Mar\u00eda Barral <\/strong>, and the\u00a0 equality officer, Marta Pi\u00f1eiro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Manuel P\u00e9rez,<\/strong>\u00a0nuestro socio colaborador de\u00a0Forgender Seal<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0en Galicia, hizo entrega del distintivo a la alcaldesa,\u00a0Mar\u00eda Barral y a la t\u00e9cnica de Igualdad, Marta Pi\u00f1eiro.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DIGECP project establishes a certification standard designed in accordance with municipal powers, state regulations, and international treaties on gender equality and human rights.<\/p>\n

Through an evaluation and certification process, municipalities obtain the Gender Equality Distinction, which will allow them to access resources and visibility as administrations committed to gender equality.<\/p>\n

The project is creating a\u00a0Network of Municipalities for Gender Equality and Shared Corresponsibility in the Use of Time,<\/strong>\u00a0promoting the exchange of good practices and collaborative learning between local administrations.<\/p>\n

Through the DIGECP Project, we promote local policies that foster shared responsibility and build fairer and more sustainable municipalities. With the support of the European Union<\/strong><\/a> and the collaboration of\u00a0INDA Iniciativas SL.<\/strong><\/p>\n
