The places we inhabit are not neutral; they tell stories and reflect the values of those who design them. For a long time, our view of our cities has been limited, but today the landscape is changing profoundly.

Women are playing a key role in the way we design, inhabit and transform our spaces. It is no longer about building, but about understanding the life that takes place within the walls and on the streets. Initiatives such as Women of the New European Bauhaus are fundamental to this process. This movement promotes female participation in strategic disciplines such as architecture, urban planning, design and creativity, ensuring that female talent leads decision-making.

What is the aim of this transformation?

👉 Creating more inclusive spaces: Designing environments that work for everyone, regardless of their age or circumstances.

👉 Designing safer cities: Gender-sensitive urban planning ensures that walking down the street is an experience of freedom rather than one of fear.

👉 Incorporating new perspectives: Bringing diverse viewpoints to the design table to solve complex problems in innovative ways.

The spaces we inhabit directly influence our quality of life, our mental health and the way we socialise.

Rethinking cities from a perspective of equality is not just a matter of justice; it is the path to building communities that are more sustainable, diverse and truly connected to human needs.

Real transformation begins when all voices are part of designing the future. Because a city that works for women is a city that works for everyone.
